This Thermos thermal cooker works well. It was out of stock a couple of months ago. At the time, the pictures showed it has a glass lid. When the new stock came in, I placed the order immediately. It was a surprise to find out the lid is stainless steel instead of glass. Not a deal breaker but I wish it was glass. The pot in general is thinner and flimsier than my old Tiger inner pot. It is not a 3-ply clad stainless steel pot. It has a metal disc attached to the bottom. So far it works well and retains heat for a very long time. It saves energy and needs way less time to attend to the cooking. I like this product. Just hope it will last as long as my old one.
